Owned and operated by the Dunleavy Family, The Arches is a 3 Star Hotel, situated in the village of Claregalway, conveniently located on the outskirts of the vibrant and bustling Western Capital that is Galway City.
The Dunleavy family have been involved in the hospitality business in Claregalway for over 100 years now. What started out as a small, one-room public house expanded in the 1970’s & ’80’s to become a modern bar, grocery store and service station. With the onset of the new millennium, and all the changes that brought to the hospitality industry, the decision was made to take advantage of Claregalway’s growing popularity as a base for exploring Galway City and the West of Ireland. The 21-bedroom Arches Hotel, Bar and Restaurant was opened in 2004.
With a warm and intimate environment, The Arches Hotel caters for all needs and provides the perfect base to explore, not only the surrounding counties of Mayo and Roscommon & Clare, but also all the beauty and culture that Galway County and City has to offer. 21 Tastefully decorated bedrooms will provide a warm and friendly local atmosphere, wholesome cuisine, great ‘craic’ in the Bar and traditional nights out that have been loved by so many guests.
